EverNow is becoming a personal agent project

An open-source direction for the work and life happening between your apps.

EverNow is taking a new direction. We’re building toward a personal agent for individuals: a companion for the ongoing projects, everyday plans and loose ends that rarely fit neatly into a single conversation.

Start with a useful relationship

The goal is continuity. An agent should understand the brief you already gave it, remember the preferences you choose to share and help with the next step. It should make a busy day more manageable, keep a research project moving or help turn a possible weekend away into a plan you can review.

Muse, Dots and Grok Bot are references for this category of persistent agents. EverNow is an independent project, with its own open-source direction. We want to explore model choice, editable memory, transparent actions and a runtime that people can eventually run for themselves.

Keep the person in control

The agent’s reach should be understandable. People should know what is connected, what context is being used and which actions need a decision. Sending a message or making a purchase should have a clear review step. Those controls belong in the product from its first real workflow.

What you can explore today

This release introduces the project and an interactive concept with three examples: preparing for a day, planning a trip and following a research brief. You can switch scenarios and try an approval decision. The content is illustrative; the demo does not connect apps, send messages, book travel or run background tasks.

The existing early-access form remains available. You can tell us which job you would hand off first and whether you want to use the agent, self-host or contribute.

What comes next

The website code is prepared under the MIT license. Repository access is currently limited; a public source release and a general-purpose agent runtime are still milestones ahead. Running this website locally does not install an agent. The existing macOS session-search prototype remains a separate developer tool.

Our next meaningful runtime milestone is one complete workflow with an observable task state, useful output and a clear boundary around external actions. Connectors, recurring work and self-hosting will follow as actual capabilities are implemented.
